Swn y Nant Reviews

Alex Turner
The place was really roomy and in a charming spot, with a great big hot tub. It was tidy and felt lived-in, though a bit old-fashioned now. Still, we had a good time overall! Definitely recommend.

We had a fantastic stay! The cottage was spotless and super cosy. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a big fridge and separate freezer - rare find! We enjoyed the hot tub every evening; it was such a treat. The area was peaceful, perfect for relaxing. Plus, the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Llanberis was just a short drive for walks and lunch. Definitely recommend for a quiet getaway!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage, perfect for exploring Snowdon. The hot tub was a great way to unwind after a day’s walk. Plenty of space for our group of three couples. Would definitely stay again and recommend it!
Emma
We stayed at this charming cottage and it truly is in a special spot. The view of Snowdon from the windows is simply stunningand hearing the stream in the garden adds to the peaceful vibe. The location is great, with a lovely pub just a couple of minutes walk away serving decent food. Inside, the place feels spacious and is equipped with everything we could need-literally, they’d thought of all the essentials like toilet paper, cleaning supplies, dish tabletsand soap. The welcoming hamper was such a thoughtful touch, really made us feel at home. Our dog loved the secure garden to explore freely. After a long hike in the mountains, the hot tub was just perfect. Honestly, we’d definitely come back if we’re ever in the area again. It’s an ideal retreat for anyone looking to unwind!
Jamie
We had such a lovely time staying here! Our group of five, including two young kids, found the cottage to be just right. There was loads of space outside for the little ones to run around and play, which they loved. The hot tub was a real treat after a day out. The place looks smaller from the photos but is actually quite spacious inside. We adored the peaceful setting, sitting on the decking at night, gazing at the mountains and hearing the river. Perfect location near Llanberis for shops too. Would definitely come back!
Rebecca

The location was perfect for North Wales adventures. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise. We’re already telling friends to check it out and would definitely come back!

We just got back from an amazing stay at Swn Y Nant. The cottage was cosy and had all the essentials - really felt like a home away from home. The hot tub was such a treat, especially with the chilly weather outside! The views of the mountains were breathtakingand we loved walking to the nearby pub, which was super friendly. Honestly, everything about our trip was perfectand we’re already planning to come back in the summer!
Emma
The cottage is in a gorgeous spot and we really enjoyed our stay. It’s a shame about the hot tub being out of order the last couple of days-would’ve been perfect if they’d refilled it for us. Still, lovely overall!
Emma
Really enjoyed this cosy, roomy cottage. Perfect base for exploring local attractions, definitely recommend it!
Emma
We arrived to find the cottage spotless, which was a great start. The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch that made us feel right at home. The location is really handy, just a short walk to a lovely pub - perfect for a relaxed evening out. The garden is pretty, but if you have a water-loving dog, you might want to keep an eye on them, as there’s a slope leading to the stream. Luckily, our dog wasn’t interested, so it wasn’t an issue for us. The hot tub was spotless and checked during our stayand though the cottage is quite near a neighbour, it didn’t bother us at all. We’d happily return!
Ella and Mark
After two weeks of mixed weather, we loved this place! The cottage’s charming vibe and gorgeous surroundings made it perfect. Plenty of hikes, including Snowdonand ending with a relaxing hot tub-definitely worth the tired legs. We felt so refreshed!
James

We had a lovely time at your charming family-run place. The views are breathtaking, especially around Watkin Path Waterfall and Beddgelert. Thanks a lot for a wonderful stay!
Jamie
We stayed at the cottage recently and honestly, it was quite clean and had all the basics you'd expect. The cleaning staff seems to be doing a good job, as the place was tidy when we arrived. The location is absolutely stunningand we managed to explore some really lovely spots nearby. That said, we did feel it was a bit overpriced for the quality of the fixtures and furnishings. The towels were a bit past their bestand there was only one tea towel for four of us over the week, which was a bit of a pain. The kitchen knives were bluntand all the interior doors and handles felt cheap and creaky, making it hard to relax if others were moving about. One bedroom door could only be closed by slamming it, which was a bit annoying. The dining table was quite squeezed into a small corner, so someone always had to get up to let others sit or leave, not ideal with four people. We also checked the details about utilities before bookingand while the description mentions logs are "provided," it’s only a starter pack, which wasn’t clear. We wondered why no other reviews mentioned these issues, so we double-checked the website. Out of over twenty properties we browsed, none had any negative comments - it felt a bit like they’re only showing the good bits. Honestly, that’s a bit misleadingand some might say it’s dishonest. Because of that, we probably wouldn’t book with this company again, which is a shame because the area is lovely.

Ideal spot to unwind and enjoy!
James
Really loved the cosy feel of the cottage, it had all we needed plus some lovely touches like wine.
Emily and Jack
We had such a great trip! Despite the unpredictable weather, hiking Snowdon was amazingand exploring Anglesey and nearby towns was lovely. We enjoyed a few drinks at the Vaynol Arms and a tasty dinner in Llanberis. Rumdoodles is definitely a highlight!
Emma
Great spot, really enjoyed our stay!
Alex
Really enjoyed the peaceful views, perfect for unwinding after a busy day.
Emma Turner
We had a fantastic stay overall! Just a heads up, arriving during winter means the place can be pretty chilly, so if you’ve got little ones, bundle them up. Apart from that, the property is stunning and really well kept. Thanks a lot, we loved it!
