We loved the place! The kitchen had everything we neededand directions to the cottage were straightforward. The owner was really attentive and friendly. The views are stunningand Abersoch nearby offers plenty to do and eat. The hot tub was perfect after a day exploring. It’s a fantastic spot for a family getaway-lots of space for everyone to relax or mingle. We definitely plan to return someday. Truly a gem!
Emma
We stayed at Hywelfa and honestly, it’s a cracking spot for a holiday. The location is fantastic, with quick access to the beach via a hidden path that’s just a short stroll away-so handy! The driveway fits two big cars comfortablyand the house itself is really spacious, perfect for our group of nine across three generations. The kitchen is hands down the best equipped we’ve ever come across in a holiday cottage, making cooking a breeze. The lounge isn’t massive, but it’s cosy enoughand the conservatory is a real highlight-huge and with stunning views. The garden’s a bit on the steep side, but that didn’t bother the kids, who loved running around outside. Abersoch is a charming little townand St Tudwels Inn surprised us with decent food. Caernarfon Castle is worth a visitand the climbing centre nearby kept us entertained. We’d definitely recommend Hywelfa for a relaxing break!
Sam
We had a brilliant weekend at Hywelfa! The views over Abersoch bay are really breathtakingand it’s only a short walk to a lovely beach. The walk through the dunes and golf course into the town is so scenic, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Coastal walks around the headland are absolutely stunning, definitely worth doing. The house itself is ideal for a big family - five spacious bedrooms, a well-stocked kitchenand a lovely dining table in the conservatory with those lovely views. We were eight adults, a babyand two small dogsand everyone felt comfortable. The gardens are well keptand there’s a hidden path that leads down to the beach road. And the hot tub? Such a perfect way to unwind after a long day’s walk. We’ll be back for sure!
Emma
So, if you’re heading here, just a heads up about the drive - it’s along narrow, winding roads, so take it slow. The views from the house are absolutely stunning, especially given its high position - you can see the bay from pretty much everywhere. Be aware though, it’s on a steep hill, so if mobility’s an issue, walking around might be tricky. There’s a quick 20-minute shortcut through the golf course to Abersoch if you can manage it. The place itself is really lovely, well-equippedand perfect for our group. The teenagers loved the Netflixand we brought some games for evenings. The hot tub was a real highlight - such a nice way to soak up the scenery. Beds were super comfyand there’s plenty of space for seven of us. Just a tip - reversing your car might be tight, so best to be confident about parking. We had a great time!
Martin

This place is fantastic, with stunning views and a lovely sunroom big enough for everyone. The garden’s secure for the dogsand the hot tub’s a real treat. We’re already planning our next visit!
Emma
We loved the house! It’s super practical with flexible spaces, perfect for our big family. The location’s great, just a quick walk to the beach, though the hill’s steep. All the kitchen stuff you’d needand comfy beds too.
