Wendon Reviews

Emma
We stayed at Wendon with my partner and two friends to mark my sister’s 60th in a spot we loved as kids. The garden’s serenity was perfect-birds and rabbits kept us company! The location was spot on, close to a fantastic beach and everything else we needed. We’re already talking about coming back soon, such a lovely break! Definitely recommend.
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay here! The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beachand the garden was great for the kids to play safely. Would come back!
Emma
We loved the cosy feel of Wendon, it's so well looked after. The views over the sea are simply stunning. Perfectly placed near the beach bar and pub. Already planning our next visit!

The house was really roomyand the sea views from the garden were lovely. Highly recommend!
Oliver
Honestly, we were pretty let down by the hot tub. We paid £200 for the stay, which seemed steep, but figured that meant it would be well maintained. When we arrived, it was sealed off and looked murky when we opened it up. Usually, hot tubs take a day to warm up, but this one was ready to go right away - only, the water was cloudy and it never got any cleaner during our whole week. We’ve stayed elsewhere with hot tubsand they’re usually cleaner, with regular chemical checks. The house and location were lovely, no doubt about that, but the hot tub felt like a total money spinner - just a rip-off, really. Our advice? Lower the price or have a proper cleaning schedule, especially for what they’re charging. It’s a shame because everything else was great, but the hot tub left a bit of a sour taste.
Jenna
The main issue for us was the blackout blinds in the bedrooms-they don't fit well and barely block out the light, especially with the windows. We all got so little sleep, arriving home exhausted after early mornings every day. Quite disappointing.
Emily
Honestly, the kitchen was quite disappointing - not as well stocked as you'd expectand super tiny. Two people couldn’t really cook together comfortably. Since we had up to eight guests, some gear was pretty limited; the dishwasher was tiny and wouldn’t handle much at onceand storage was scarce for food. The photos online made the place seem much bigger than it really is, which was a bit misleading. On the bright side, the setting is absolutely stunningand the house was spotless when we arrived. So, overall, it’s a lovely spot, but be prepared for the small kitchen and limited amenities.
