Hafod 3 Reviews

Stuart
Although the location of the lodge is lovely, the lodge itself is in need of attention to bring it up to a standard expected when paying this amount of money for a lodge. The toilet seat was broken on one of the toilets making it unusable, the other toilet was cracked. The shower over the bath leaked out on to the floor making that unusable. The bin in the kitchen was broken, there was hair and sand on the rug carpet and sofas and the general cleanliness of the lodge was poor. There is no digital or analogue television and so the TV can only be used on the Samsung app, impossible for older people meaning that they couldn't watch any television for the week. There is no information on how to use the heating or any appliances and there is no WIFI access available from the holiday park. Outside there was rubbish scattered around the decking area including multiple security seals from the hot tub cover and the hot tub itself was not full so had to be filled and then waited for until the next day to warm up. Not the holiday break away we'd hoped for unfortunately.
Fantastic chalet with great facilities accessible at the Warren, lovely walks over the headland and down to the beach. Hot tub was a bonus. Chalet was clean with everything you need for a week stay as a family. Owner was great sorting out leisure pass, would recommend and definitely return.
Matthew
The chalet was great, location brilliant and facilities good too cant complain one bit about that. It wasnt particularly clean though, we found on the surface it looked ok but a dog toy under one sofa and a half eaten breadstick was kicked out of another and a half eaten biscuit in a cupboard. The info given at check in is also wrong. There is no code for the gate despite being given one and the link to set up the automatic car reg doesnt work. This made it really frustrating when trying to get back in having to call the security each time, whilst they go over security questions and recommend we speak to the owner to sort which we did via yourselves its a shame as paying nearly a 1000 for 4 nights I would have expected it to be pretty crisp and clean. The chalet though as I say is in a brilliant position and is well equipped, hot tub brilliant and beds and showers all great.

We were given a keycode number to gain access to the site by Sykes on arrival , but the barriers were not keycode operated. We had to ring security to find out how to gain access, not a great start. The lodge was not clean , the windows looked like they had not been cleaned in months , the shower had mould and dirt marks in it and had a bad smell. The edge of the floor to the bath was dirty, the cupboards in the kitchen still had bits in them so not clean, the outside furniture had green moss growing on it ,so obviously not cleaned , the sofa's were so low it was like sitting on the floor and not very easy to get out of. The hot tub had sand in two of the seats and we had not been to the beach so felt we could not use this as felt unsure as to how clean the water was, and we specifically booked a lodge with a hot tub to have a relaxing break . Really disappointed with the lodge and Sykes .

Hi Sorry to say we got there and the cleaner was still there! She was lovely but on her own so my daughter ended up helping making up the beds and hoovering. There was food and clothing left in cupboards! The barbecue was filthy so we couldnt use it even if we had wanted to! The oven wasnt clean either! And on reflection maybe the hot tub wasnt as sterile as it should have been! On leaving we stripped the bedding only to find stains on pillows! Also on site facilities not great!! Considering what we paid for this accommodation very disappointed!!
A lovely well maintained property. The facilities on the nearby sister site were were very welcome. Overall we had a great time at Hafod 3. Would recommend.

Fantastic stay in a fantastic chalet. Owners thought of everything, will definitely be back
Alison
We have raised our issues as a complaint and would like a response in respect of the same.
The chalet is beautifully finished and high quality, the hot tub was great! The location is amazing we loved being so near the beach and all the facilities at the Warren. Overall the facilities were very good, but unfortunately we couldnt get the TV in the lounge to work despite several attempts, we gave up eventually. Cleanliness wise we were disappointed to find it to be quite dirty on arrival, there was dust and grime around the skirting boards, window sills etc. It clearly hasnt been cleaned properly in some time. In the kitchen we went to use the sandwich toaster machine which was filthy. The dishwasher needed to be emptied on arrival. In the bathroom there were lots of dead midges in the bath. Overall we had a great week, just a few things need attention there.
Kenneth
Excellent location and tastefully presented lodge, close to the adjoining Warren site where all the amenities are. Well equipped kitchen. Outside deck a lovely space. Didnt use the barbecue but one was provided. Hot tub was also very good. Negatives TV was a big issue for us as there was no terrestrial TV in the lounge and that was when we could connect with the site WiFi, which was off more than it was on. We spent far too much time trying to sort this and on calls to Sykes who didnt have the answers to resolve the issues, although they were helpful and kept us informed, to no avail though. Radio provided but that depended on WiFi too it seemed as that kept cutting out. No instructions for any equipment, particularly the TVWiFi, hot tub, washerdryer. This would have helped greatly. We noticed the shed behind the lodge was unlocked and we were unable to lock it and worried about the safety of the contents. No one at the site office to ask during our stay. Cleanliness was poor in the lounge and bedrooms, specifically the sofas which we found to have crushed biscuits under the cushions. None of the furniture had been moved to clean behind or under, In the bedrooms there were biscuits behind the bedside cabinets and thick dust on furniture and skirtings. Post covid particularly I expected a clean lodge would be essential. Bathrooms, towels, bed linen all very clean. Ensuite toilet was cracked with a loose lid. The style and location of this lodge are its selling points and I would recommend it. We would book again provided the negatives noted were rectified.
Ideal location peaceful and quiet setting very clean and tidy and spacious well equipped definitely be booking again
Lovely chalet, very well equipped, fab location.
Alison
We had a wonderful stay at the lodge. It was in a lovely position and Ive never stayed anywhere as well equipped. I always pack a bag of essentials and didnt need them. I always take throws for the settees as we take children but they were there too. The place looked spotless when we arrived and the only negative was when my grandson lost a piece of Lego. We had to take the cushions off the settee and found a very old banana and we cleaned underneath which obviously hadnt been moved for ages. I just wanted you to be aware of this However we shall certainly be booking again as we had a wonderful stay.
