The Cottage Reviews

The Cottage was great with plenty of room for our party of 7, whilst still being cosy & inviting. The hot tub & wood burning stove were particular highlights during our stay over New Year, & the Christmas decorations were a lovely added touch. We wouldnt hesitate to return.
Brilliant cottage, very comfortable, really enjoyed our stay here, plenty of room downstairs to spread out ! The hot tub was fantastic enjoyed by all the adults and kids, would highly recommend the property, improvements? More wardrobesdrawers for clothes especially when you are bringing young children and babies, other than that brilliant
Christopher
We loved the property and it's location and our only issue was with the heating which was mostly lukewarm. The radiators never came on at all including the towel rails in the bathrooms which meant we couldn't dry the towels. The only time we felt the underfloor heating was in the hallway. Apart from this it was pretty much perfect.
Lovely cottage well equipped with all the necessities. The hot tub is a star ! Everyone in the family totally enjoyed the 3 nights stay, hopefully we will revisit soon !
Our second stay here for a family weekend we will be back!
The cottage was amazing, when we turned up we were like WoW! Place was lovely and clean. So glad we booked. The kitchen area and lounge was lovely and I loved the snug living room at the front. The bedrooms were lovely too nice and spacious for the adults & kids. And can't forget about the hot tub and garden. Hot tub nice to relax after a day out and the garden was massive for the kids to play. Williams definitely return Neil and Marian always checking up on us if we were ok thanks.

The cottage was great but let down so badly with the cleanliness. We had to clean on arrival before starting our break which we shouldnt have to do. The main living room smelt of dogsurine and black hairs all over the floors and sofas. We had to empty the hoover as it was so full it wouldnt suck up which wasnt pleasant. The sofas smelt and were dirty. The blankets left under the table were dirty and full of dog hairs. The top right grill was thick with grease so when we used it it would smoke and smelt so we couldnt use it. The dishwasher filter was thick with grease so we had to clean that also. The washing up bowl was greasy so we cleaned that. While hoovering the sofa in the snug room we found a dirty hairy sock behind the cushions. Chocolate bar and empty wrapper found in one of the bedrooms. The en suite fan didnt work and the mattress springs have gone on one side. We understand it is dog friendly which is great but it needed so much more of a clean especially as it is dog friendly and dog hair everywhere is not nice. Once we cleaned the cottage ourselves it was great. We loved the hot tub and views and the cottage was beautiful just let down by the cleanliness unfortunately
Alison
Lovely property great for 7 adults. I think 2 adults may have been a little cramped in the doublebunk room. Great for families
Excellent property with plenty of room for all the family and our dog too. Hot tub was great, my granddaughter and grandson loved it and made good use of this most days. Some great beaches all within half hours drive and even in laye September we managed to get in twice. A great week enjoyed by everyone! Tony

Lovely large property and hot tub, the only downside for us our dog would easily get out the garden ideally would have a fence at the front of the property and at the side between the drive and the field.
We had a wonderful stay at The Cottage we were a group of 9 made up of 3 generations. The property was extremely clean considering its size and provided us with plenty of space to get away from one another should we wish. If you are traveling with dogs be aware that the garden is not secured in order to keep dogs in. If the owner could take a few small steps to make the garden dog secure we would be happy to return.

A perfect place for a family holiday, located in a quiet area but close to good beaches. We were a family of 7 people, aged from 12 to 78, we all had a great time. The hot tub was A1. the area was great for walking.
Beautiful property in an idyllic location and stunning scenery around the area. Excellent communication from home owner at the beginning of the holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the property and will definitely be recommending it to others.
Fantastic holiday with the family at the cottage. The house is well equipped to ensure a comfortable stay. The house is spacious, with enough space to avoid being under each others feet. The only negative, which is easily rectified, the oven seemed to be less powerful on one side so it took ages to cook anything. Aside from that minor issue, we would love to return and will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Fabulous cottage in a gorgeous location. We had a wonderful time, thank you. The hot tub is great and the sun room is a perfect place to relax. We were so lucky with the weather too! Only note on facilities is that the shower in the main bathroom was difficult to turn on and off and the washing machine was dirty inside the drawer so we had to clean it before washing baby things. Overall a great place and highly recommend for family stays
Absolutely perfect stay. The cottage is immaculately clean and just a beautiful setting. Can't rate it highly enough.
House was lovely, hot tub was a nice way to relax in an evening, nice quiet location. The only criticism is that we couldnt relax and let the dogs out on their own in the garden because there were nsheep in the field and gaps in the hedge and a very low front wall. However I would definitely recommend this property.
A lovely cottage everything we neededin a peaceful setting, close to some beautiful beaches. We all loved it and will definitely return for one of our family weekends
Enjoyed a comfortable week at the cottage. Plenty of parking and a lovely sun room. The garden is not secure for an athletic dog but there is a walk right next to the house as well as plenty of other walks nearby
Abigail
A wonderful stay for a long weekend, nestled in the countryside and surrounded by hills this house is beautifully finished and made for a perfect location to explore Abersoch and the surrounding areas. Not too far from Snowdonia for those who want more of an adventure visit. Plenty to see and do. Comfortable rooms with everything we needed for our short break and such a reasonable price! Thank you.
Lovely family Xmas break with 5 adults, 2 dogs Lovely property which owners have renovated to a very high standard. Home from home comforts and very clean.
Many, many things to love about The Cottage recently renovated to a really high standard, with well thought through accommodation. Sofas, seating, lighting, speakers, parking, storage space for boards, very dog friendly, hot tub, beds and linen couldn't be more perfect. The Cottage achieves that rare thing of having a huge communal friendly space and a snug away from everyone for quieter moments. Area Cottage very easy to find though like all Lleyn roads it's one track in places to get to the village Garden isn't high fenced which was no problem with our dogs, and they shouldn't be left unattended anyway. If anyone wanted to make it more perfect then a tumble dryer would be the answer. On a wet day, there seemed to be no way to dry anything. Just a really lovely place to stay thank you very much
It was a lovely cottage, quite spacious. It just needed a few more tweaks to make it a friendly cottage for people with mobility issues. A handle in the en suite shower, and a ramp to the front door. Otherwise one of the nicest places we have stayed.
Lovely spacious cottage, good location our family really enjoyed our time there, hot tub was a plus for granddaughters it was a wow when we initially walked it to the cottage, and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.
Nicholas
The cottage is beautiful and is perfectly situated for a family holiday on the Lyn peninsula close to all the amazing beaches and within a short drive of Anglesey and Snowdonia. The only thing not clearly shown on the listing is the lack of garden wall between the garden and the road, which made containing the dog a bit tricky and led to a few visits to the neighbours. The cottage also doesnt have one of those drawers of condiments with usual stuff like salt and pepper so you really do need to bring everything you might need for the holiday. Other than that the cottage is fantastic especially the hot tub!
Had a lovely family break with six adults, 2 children and two dogs. Lovely property which owners have renovated to a very high standard. Home from home comforts and very clean. Would definitely recommend.
The house is absolutely stunning. It was fully equipped with everything we needed and more. The speakers were the icing on the cake for us !! We had a fantastic week . The hottub was already warm when we arrived. Bed were super comfortable we all had such an amazing experience staying at the cottage . We also had the most beautiful weather which made our stay better then expected.
Nicole
Lovely house in a quiet location . Extremely comfortable beds and sofas with crisp linens and cushions . Under floor heating makes everything so cosy. Great location for peace and quiet and bird watching . Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful cottage, absolutely perfect for our pre Christmas get together, very comfortable ,very clean, and all the info we needed. We will be returning and recommending to everyone.
Delyth
We could not find fault with anything! ! The Cottage was amazing, very well equiped with everything that was needed for our weeks stay. A welcome pack with tea, coffee, biscuits and mini wines were in the kitchen on our arrival. The owners have taken note of previous customers comments, and the bedrooms now have mirrors. The hot tub was very well used by us all after a day of exploring the many beaches in the area. The village location was very quiet, not too far from any of the main tourist attractions in the area.
Esther
Beautiful house in a stunning location. Enjoyed our week at The Cottage.
Kaylee
Beautiful house in wonderful Welsh countryside not far from abersoch and other costal towns, great house clean and great facilities the hottub was a hit. Lovely welcome pack provided with tea coffee etc Will definitely be returning next year!
Louise
We have just arrived home from a lovely stay at our holiday cottage. The cottage was beautiful inside & out and in a good location to travel to all the local beauty spots. The only negatives were that the bedrooms lacked wardrobe space and no mirrors or dressing tables to get ready. The kitchen lacked cutlery literally we had 8 of everything which meant washing more. Also could of done with more utensils and things like jugs for milk and juice. Apart from that we had a wonderful stay and would visit again in the the future.
Joseph
Great cottage with lots of space. Very clean and good facilities. Loved by both kids and adults.
Surbjit
Cottage was amazing . . however none of the bedrooms had mirrors and it would be helpful to have that near socket so yoy can blow dry hair etc .
Overall a very good cottage, its large, spacious and modern. The hot tub was a big hit by us all, the beds were very comfortable and plenty of hot water for showers ect. There are TVs in each bedroom and in both lounge and kitchen, this was good we did have the odd issue with WiFi going off and failing to connect to one TV in the bunked bedroom... but this may have been easily resolved if we were better with IT. The only thing I would say, is that the property lacks mirrors there are no mirrors upstairs with plugs to do your hair I had to plug my hair dryer behind the bathroom door in the bedroom and try and stretch it to the bathroom mirror not ideal. A lovely stay, in a lovely village, with great weather. Thank you
Sharon
Loved it great views peace and quiet bifold doors bought the outside in loads of room lovely garden dogs loves it although we kept them on 20m ropes as if the saw a cat they would have gone lol. only downside was double bunk made it impossible to use the double bed as the bunk is so low. Otherwise perfect maybe need a dryer in the winter months Would def stay again
Victoria
A great cottage, set in beautiful countryside. The cottage itself is very well equipped and it's location was ideal for exploring. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 little ones and there was ample space for all of us. My daughter loved the bunk beds and my son was more than happy exploring the garden and watching the sheep.
